Note:
The dimensions are not the exact measurements
of the actual items, however they show a
realistic interpretation of the internal
space available, allowing for tolerances.
Gourmet Food (GF) boxes consist of an outer carton and foam liner. Both items are delivered flat to reduce the storage space required and to allow for easier handling. When used with the correct amount of ice, each box will maintain the cool chain for a minimum of 24 hours. The range has been extensively tested in our pharmaceutical standard research and development centre and comes complete with a test report detailing the test method, box performance and packing instructions.
Gourmet Food (GF) Boxes are produced from a specially constructed 24mm sheet of low density polyethylene insulation which is virtually indestructible and offers great protection from impact while maintaining the cool chain. They have been designed to work with chilled products that need to be stored and transported at low temperatures over a period of at least 24 hours.

Food Box (GF4)
Tested against a 24 hour summer ramp

The GF range, like all our products, is fully
tested to maintain the cool chain. These documents
are readily available to all customers and will
be supplied at time of first order.
The GF range is available in a wide range of
sizes. Each box comprises of a two part die-cut
foam liner and outer cardboard carton of which
there are various styles. Both the liner and
carton are supplied flat packed which has obvious
benefits with regard to deliveries and storage.
The GF range is available with a selection
of outer carton boxes, the most popular of these
being an 0201 regular white packing case that
requires taping to assemble. These single wall
0201 cartons do not offer the strength of the
EB flute cartons used with the SF liners, however
the increased thickness of the GF liner more
than compensates for this. GF boxes with a larger
internal capacity are supplied with double wall
0201 style cartons as standard to support the
heavier weights.
Both styles offer a good printing surface for
customers’ own branding and are delivered
flat packed.
Another readily available style of carton,
but not available from stock, is the Die-Cut
carton which has been designed with interlocking
cardboard flaps, allowing for them to be assembled
and securely closed without the use of tape.
These cartons offer a better presentation than
our 0201 style of outer carton and we would
recommend their use for gift style packaging.
Again, these cartons are delivered flat packed
but are easily assembled and can be printed
with customers’ own branding.
A popular alternative, although not a stock
item, is the Solid Board box which is extremely
durable and offers a wax finish which withstands
the condensation usually associated with packed
goods being stored in a cold room prior to despatch.
They are delivered flat packed but are easily
assembled and can be printed with customers’
own branding. These are available in only a
selection of sizes are the present time.
