1. What
are Flexi-Cool Liners manufactured from?
The Flexi-Cool range of products
is produced from 100% recyclable, environmentally
friendly materials. The liners are made
from Low Density Polyethylene foam. LDPE
is the same material that is used to make
a regular polythene bag.
2. How does the
end user dispose of these products?
LDPE is one of the world’s
most recycled plastics and is suitable for
disposal in land fill sites or can be incinerated.
3. What is the
difference between the Standard and Gourmet
ranges of boxes?
Both the Standard and Gourmet range
of boxes maintain the cool chain for 24
hours. However, the thickness of the liner
in the Standard range is thinner than in
the Gourmet range.
The Gourmet range, with the greater thickness
of insulation, is virtually indestructible
and as such offers great protection from
impact. This range works well with chilled
and frozen products that need to be stored
and transported at low temperatures over
a period of at least 24 hours. The Standard
range is a good choice for chilled products
that don’t need so much protection
and that need to be stored and transported
below +8C for a 24 hour delivery cycle.
4. Are the Gel
Packs difficult to use?
No. The gel packs are delivered
ready to put directly into the freezer.
They have been specifically designed so
that they will not stick together when freezing.
When frozen they can be placed directly
into a box next to pre-packaged food. Using
Flexi-Cool gel packs should enable improvements
in the efficiency of the packing process.
5. Are the Gel
Packs safe?
They are non-toxic and food safe.
6. Can I customise
my cartons?
Yes. We stock plain white 0201
style cartons which are delivered flat packed
and require taping when assembled. For a
minimum order of 500 units these cartons
can be printed with customers’ own
branding and logos. It is also possible
to order cartons in different styles including
die-cut (often used for gift boxes and hampers)
and solid board (sometimes used for products
that need to be stored in a fridge/freezer
before dispatch).
